Project Management
Jennifer has designed and built a range of unique projects. These include a complete Steiner education complex, created from scratch out of a virgin mountainous allotment in the New South Wales subtropical bush, which became the most creative educational campus of its type in Australia.
The innovative and highly successful learning environments, supporting kindergarten to year seven, transformed traditional concepts of alternative education. Her designs made intelligent use of locally sourced building materials - rock, timber, glass. The campus landscape forms and spaces were configured to reflect and amplify the sacred Aboriginal spaces of Mt Warning's caldera landforms.
She also designed and built her own home in a bush-fringed environment, naturally populated with wallabies, bandicoots, butterflies, water dragons (nesting in her fernery) and a vast array of native birds. Today, mature 25 year old golden cane palms, tropical trees, staghorn ferns and a multi-species southern wall of 12 metre high bamboo have created a unique pure-air environment that not only attracts seasonal wildlife but is virtually fireproof against climate crisis advances.

Residential
Renovation of Old Farmhouse
Brief was to completely restore a large, old 70s brick farmhouse that had been providing a cosy home for winter rats. Project involved cleaning and repainting roof, rendering and painting the old red brick exterior walls. Paint old bronze anodised window frames, replace front door and lights. Completely restore interior with paint, new flooring, showers, tapware, light fittings and window furnishings. See the Before and After pics below.
Bathroom - Before and After
Brief: To Refresh bathroom. Project included painting, new floor tiles, new semi-frameless shower screen, new vanity and basins, blinds, mirror and lighting.
Kitchen - Before and After
Brief: To Refresh kitchen. Project included new oven, painting, new floor tiling, and splashback tiling, blinds, tapware and lighting.
Family Room - Before and After
Brief: To Refresh and brighten family room and entrance. Project included painting, new floor tiling, and ceiling fan, and remove additional entryway door. At entry, excavate bricks and replace with continuous flooring tiles, replace front door, textured glass panel, add new lighting.
Commercial
Camera Business Fitout - Project Management
The Brief: Project manage the refit of an old empty warehouse to operate as the office and call centre for a major Brisbane camera business. Primarily involved in the office refit, while the following year the Showroom was completed - shown in the second image.
Camera Business - Office Fitout
The Brief: To coordinate with the owner and an Interior Designer to select, procure and install wall painting, flooring, furniture, lighting and accessories, including indoor plants for the office and staff amenities areas.
Camera Business - Staff Lunch Room
The Brief: To create a welcoming and stimulating space for staff to have lunch or take time out to discuss projects.
